Plural.
External and superficial appearance of the structure of the materials, objects and things that surround us. They can be appreciated tactilely and visually. They allow viewers to not only look at the building, decorative elements, surfaces and finishes but to imagine how it would feel.

Verb.
To change something, modify it or adjust it to make it valid, useful, functional, etc., in a new situation and with different characteristics.
Example: knowing how to adapt spaces to the context is good for design.
